The movements which caused her the most pain were jumping and running especially during deceleration. The level of pain on a scale of 1-10 was 2-3 just sitting and 7 while running.

During our initial appointment on June 2, 2008, we muscle tested Jill and found weakness and inflammation in her right Hamstring as well as some weakness in her neck which we were able to clear.

Jill was treated 4 times with the ARP machine to drive out any lingering inflammation in her hamstring. We then treated her Hamstrings bi-laterally for 6 sessions with the ARP to build strength.

During our 5th meeting, we had Jill running up to 75% of capacity and she had a very mild sensation in her right Hamstring when decelerating.

During session 9 on June 12th (the 10th day after we began) Jill ran 100% with short bursts and quick stops with no pain or discomfort. She also ran 100% for 50 yards and performed various running drills—all pain free.

Jill started her Category 1 UltraFit Training Program yesterday. While Jill can run pain-free at this time, the recommendation is to only perform the UltraFit exercises for the next 28 days. During this time, her hamstrings will be trained to Absorb Force thus minimizing any chance of re-injury. We will re-test her at that time.

We also strongly suggest that Jill work hard on her soccer skills no less than 3 times a week for 30 minutes at high intensity as she progresses through her UltraFit workouts. The only restriction for the next 4 weeks would be running drills, sprints and long distance runs since they would work against what we are trying to prepare her for.

Jill has many physical qualities that would allow her to become an elite athlete and appears to have the discipline to work hard. She has a follow-up visit with Dr. Deehan at the end of the month and we are trusting for a good report.
